Practicing with a Purpose - the Big IDEA
I recently found this website which is beautifully created and presented by Katie O'Hara LaBrie and Tracy Magwire. The purpose is to lead students into thinking while they are practicing and therefore practicing with a purpose. I have already adopted some of these concepts into my curriculum but the kids will be 100% involved next school year.

In middle of Omicron, I ended up with a bad cold. My sub was young and apparently spent the week looking at TikTok on her phone. In spite of this, these lesson plans worked well and I felt the students absorbed the information and learned something. This is a bundle but you can also purchase the individual lessons. It was worth the money for me. I used John Williams and Careers in Music.
